Looks like we are nearing the end of a Pandemic which created a lot of havoc in our lives. So many lost their loved ones and there is an unimaginable damage to our day to day life. Are we not expecting another similar pandemic in the near future? Can anyone give a guarantee? It is true that we can drive automated flying cars in the future and at the same time it is also true that there may be other viruses which will come in future. How can we be prepared for future challenges?
Everyone in the world knows this phrase - health is wealth. Well, thanks to the Corona Virus we can all now unanimously agree that Health is the only wealth. Is it really a big deal to maintain good health? If you’re thinking to yourself...I don’t think so...well, let me tell you this. You might be thinking that we live in a modern society and we have modern values, advanced technology and scientists to ensure that our health is good . This may be true, but when a pandemic like Corona Virus arrives we realise that we don’t have the strength which is needed to survive such catastrophic events . However, it doesn’t have to be that way. You can change your lifestyle so that you can maintain your health, stay safe and prepare yourself for any unexpected pandemics or epidemics. All you have to do is follow 5 simple golden rules.
Eat healthy - After all, we are what we eat. Your body needs healthy fats for energy and other functions. But too much saturated fat can cause cholesterol to build up in your arteries. Saturated fats raise your cholesterol. High cholesterol increases your risk for heart disease and stroke. Eating healthy can ensure that you stay happy and it can also improve your health, and remember that keeping healthy will give you an advantage when it comes to unfortunate circumstances like these.
Drink plenty of water, consume nuts such as almonds, cashews and peanuts. ,Eating nuts can give you the fibre you need and it also improves your digestion. Make sure you eat fruits everyday and make sure you get all your vitamins and minerals. Meat, cereals, fish and milk are highly recommended.
Exercise - Start slowly and start challenging yourself. Yoga and running will keep the heart safe and sound. Pick an activity you love, or one you would like to try. Join in that Zumba class, do those pilates. Don't Wait for tomorrow and procrastinate. Start now and keep going.
Think less and act more - Stop overthinking and start acting. Break your big goals into small goals, celebrate every achievement, and mainly think less and act more.
Stop worrying about things which are not in your control - you are not the cause of Corona and you are not going to find an immediate cure. Do all you can to be safe and prevent any problems, but if the problems aren’t in your control, don’t waste your time stressing about them, simply let go.
Spend time with family & friends - Quality time and surrounding yourself with people you love is important for a happier, healthier life. Show the people you love that you care for them, check up on your loved ones and appreciate them more.
All these golden rules are all familiar to everyone and everyone is definitely going to reach a stage in their life when they realize the importance of them. But the intention of this post is to encourage you to follow these rules now, rather than waiting until your health gets hit by a pandemic. So remember, eat healthy, exercise, stop worrying and stay safe.
