How to live a happy life?

Happiness means different things for different people. Some people will get happiness in eating their favourite snacks and some people will get it in drinking and some people may become happy when they are high in substances. Do we really need these costly definitions for happiness in life? What if some of us can’t find a way to be happy and we feel down all the time? You might not feel like you are on top of the world, but changing a few of your habits can ensure that you feel much more positive and even though it might not solve all your problems, it will keep your mind at peace and make you a happier person in general. All you have to do is follow these 6 golden rules.

  • When you get up in the morning, thank God for giving you a brand new day, a new chance to start over and make sure you keep your mind refreshed. Take some deep breaths, if you live with family or friends give them a hug to start your day. If you live alone, tell yourself that you are going to have a good day and smile.

  • Stop complaining and start enjoying every minute. With busy lives, we don’t get time to see and enjoy every small detail of our lives but if we start the habit of doing that then we will see huge changes in our life. When you step outside the house to go to work, look at the trees, breathe in the fresh air and look at the beautiful nature around you. Listen to some songs that will uplift your mood and most importantly, smile.

  • Start your working day with a fresh mind instead of carrying the garbage from yesterday. It’s a new day, you have a chance to start again. Tell yourself, that you can do it and you will use this chance to become a happier, better version of yourself. Start again, but as a happier, more determined individual.

  • Plan your investments wisely at a younger age so that money is never a problem for you. Every little investment counts and adds up to an unimaginable financial stability at a later point of time.   • Take frequent trips with family and friends even if it's just for the weekend. If you stay by yourself or your family and friends are too far away, or if the problem affecting your mental health is to do with family and friends, take some time off for yourself. Eat, listen to music, have a self care day and tell yourself that things will get better. Remember, self love is more important than any other type of love. Make sure you also check up on your loved ones as this can make someone much happier.

  • Be the boss of your life and don’t let anyone else control you. If you are unhappy with something or someone, let it go. Live a carefree, happy, laughter-filled life.
